debby’s weigh in
Well, I don’t want to, but in the long run I think it will be helpful to be accountable for my weight. So, Wednesday morning will be my weigh in day, and I will post it on this page once a week. Since I really have no idea what I am doing in bloggy land, I will simply enter the date and the weight each week. When I started this blog, I weighed 161.5 pounds. Post-vacation weight ballooned up to 166.8–aaargh. Tomorrow morning I will weigh in and post my weight.
6/25/08 I forgot to put on this page that my personal goal weight for now is going to be 158, with an acceptable range from 153 – 163. I had chosen that weight because I knew that I was happy with how I looked and felt at that weight, and for the week or two that I hit 153, I was thrilled with how I looked and felt, but fairly restricted on my food, and at 163…not so happy. I also want to get to 155.5 very badly (100 pounds lost.) And, as I’ve said elsewhere, with my bad back and some arthritis, I really think the quality of my ‘old-age’ life would be best as a very thin person. Sounds like I don’t know what I want. 158, that’s what I want for now.
7/2/08 Could anyone lose weight any slower than this?? That’s okay, its consistently moving in the right direction, and I feel great about how I am eating and exercising (did I mention I LOVE Curves?)
7/9/08 Whew, its just a relief to be back to that number instead of up the 3 pounds I was a few days ago. It is weird it is exactly the same number. My friend and I have a theory that our scales get ’stuck’ on certain numbers.
7/16–I’m not kidding, that’s what the scale said! But for the briefest moment it paused on 162.6, so I am hopeful to see some movement next week!
8/6 Alright, people, don’t I get some kind of an award for keeping my weight within a 1 pound weight range for 7 weeks running??? Never mind the fact that I was ‘trying’ to lose weight. I think that is a remarkable feat. And its NOT the scale.

10/15/08 Not gonna post my weight today. After 2 days of work my weight is always way up (I don’t know what it is, water retention? Irregular schedule?) But wanted to state over here for the record that my new goal weight is 133.

1/14/09 166.4 Hmmm….see I haven’t posted my weight for a month. This is probably a true accurate weight that reflects the holiday eating combined with the stress eating of the past week. Honestly, I am thankful it is not more. And a little sad that I have to start working all over again to get the same weight off. Oh, well, that is life.

11/3/09 Sorry if you’ve been checking this page. I am taking a break from updating–trying to loosen the hold of the scale. I still weigh myself a couple times a week, to keep myself on the straight and narrow, but not giving the number as much importance in my life right now.

This is how I do my weigh in page too – just type in a date and a number. It works for me though!
